Crispy Quick Bang Bang Shrimp

A deliciously quick recipe combining golden-fried shrimp with a creamy, spicy sauce that brings Asian flavors to your kitchen.

  • 1 pound Raw shrimp, deveined & peeled
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Thai sweet chili sauce
  • 1 clove Minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoons Sour cream
  • 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Paprika
  • Oil (canola, olive, or avocado) for frying

Instructions

  1. Rinse the raw shrimp under cold water, pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise, Thai sweet chili sauce, minced garlic, Sriracha, sour cream, and lemon juice; whisk until smooth.
  3. Prepare two bowls for coating: one with milk, and the other with a mix of flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, and paprika.
  4. Dip each shrimp in milk, then coat with flour mixture.
  5. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat to 325°F (165°C).
  6. Fry the shrimp in batches for 2-3 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Remove shrimp and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil; drizzle with sauce or serve on the side.

Notes

For the best results, use fresh shrimp and fry in small batches to maintain oil temperature.
