Deliciously Chewy Coconut Macaroons

Delightful coconut macaroons that are chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, perfect for snacks or desserts.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz sweetened coconut flakes
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large egg whites

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the coconut flakes, condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
  4. In another bowl, whip the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  5. Gently fold the whipped egg whites into the coconut mixture.
  6. Scoop mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between them.
  7. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until they are golden brown.
  8. Cool the macaroons on the baking sheet for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

For a twist, dip half of each macaroon in melted chocolate after cooling.
