Homemade Pesto Sauce

A vibrant and delicious homemade pesto sauce that adds flavor to various dishes.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the fresh basil leaves thoroughly and dry them gently.
  2. In your food processor, combine the basil, cheese, pine nuts, and garlic.
  3. Pulse until finely chopped.
  4. While pulsing, slowly pour in the olive oil until smooth.
  5. Stir in the heavy cream.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Use the pesto as desired, such as with pasta or as a dip.
