Salted Caramel Apple Mini Pies

Delightful mini pies that combine sweet and tart apples with rich salted caramel, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1 package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup salted caramel sauce
  • Flour for dusting
  • Egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. On a floured surface, roll out the refrigerated pie crusts and cut circles for the muffin tin.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the sliced apples with the granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice.
  4. Place the larger pie crust circles into a greased muffin tin and fill each with the apple mixture.
  5. Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the apple filling.
  6. Cover with the smaller pie crust circles and seal the edges.
  7. Brush the tops with egg wash.
  8. Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve warm with a drizzle of extra caramel sauce or with ice cream.
