Sesame Chicken and Lo Mein

A delightful dish featuring crispy chicken coated in sesame sauce, tossed with colorful vegetables and tender lo mein noodles.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, sliced
  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, carrots)
  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat the sesame oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the sliced chicken to the pan and sauté until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add the mixed vegetables and minced garlic; stir-fry until tender-crisp, about 3-4 minutes.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, honey, sesame seeds, salt, and pepper.
  6. Pour the sauce over the chicken and vegetables, stirring well to coat.
  7. Add the cooked lo mein noodles, tossing everything together until well combined and heated through.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped green onions.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace chicken with firm tofu and follow the same cooking instructions.
