6 cups sliced apples
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup milk
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Peel, core, and slice the apples. Mix with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice, then let sit for 10 minutes.
Combine flour, oats, sugar, salt, and melted butter in a bowl until crumbly.
Layer the spiced apples in a greased baking dish and sprinkle the topping over the apples.
Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until bubbly and golden brown.
Cool for 10 minutes before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.
