Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed and frozen
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Method

Instructions
  1. Freeze Your Watermelon: Cut seedless watermelon into 1-inch cubes and spread them on a baking sheet. Freeze for at least 4 hours or until completely solid.
  2. Blend to Perfection: Place frozen watermelon cubes in a high-speed blender. Add honey, lime juice, and a pinch of salt.
  3. Create Smooth Texture: Blend on high until the mixture becomes completely smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed. This should take about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Serve Immediately: For a soft-serve consistency, serve immediately with fresh mint garnish.
  5. Freeze for Firm Texture: For a firmer sorbet, transfer to a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1-2 hours before serving.

Notes

Choose ripe watermelon with a yellow spot on the bottom for optimal sweetness. Taste watermelon before freezing to adjust sweetener amount. Don't over-blend to maintain proper texture - stop as soon as smooth and scoopable consistency is achieved.
