- Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius). Line three baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and sea salt. Set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together softened butter and both sugars for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla extract until light, about 1 minute.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
- Gently fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Roll 2-3 tablespoons of dough into balls and place them evenly spaced on prepared baking sheets, leaving 2 inches between cookies.
- Bake in preheated oven for 8-10 minutes until edges are just starting to turn brown.
- Let cookies sit on baking pan for 5 minutes before transferring to cooling rack.
Notes
Use properly softened butter (not melted), spoon flour into measuring cup and level off, don't overmix dough once flour is added, cookies will continue to set as they cool
