- Cook the chicken in a large skillet with 2 tablespoons of butter until golden brown and cooked through. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- Add the remaining butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add the uncooked pasta directly to the skillet.
- Cover and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and most of the liquid is absorbed.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, paprika, and cayenne pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
Notes
For best results, make sure chicken pieces are uniform in size so they cook evenly. Adjust cayenne pepper to control spice level - start with less and add more if preferred. Parmesan cheese adds wonderful umami flavor that balances the spices perfectly.
