Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. This ensures even cooking and maximum crispiness.
- In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil until evenly coated. The oil helps the seasonings stick and promotes browning.
- Add minced garlic, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and paprika (if using) to the bowl. Toss thoroughly to distribute the seasonings evenly across all the green beans.
- Arrange the seasoned green beans in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Avoid overcrowding to ensure proper air circulation and even cooking.
- Air fry at 400°F for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking. The green beans should be tender-crisp with lightly browned edges.
- If using Parmesan cheese, sprinkle it over the hot green beans immediately after cooking. The residual heat will melt the cheese slightly.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy. These make a perfect side for garlic herb chicken or as a standalone snack.
Notes
Don't overcrowd the basket - cook in batches if necessary. Thicker green beans may need extra cooking time. Frozen green beans work perfectly without thawing and may need 2-3 minutes longer. Re-crisp leftovers in air fryer at 350°F for 2-3 minutes.
