Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup milk or heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Method

Instructions
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then cook until golden brown and cooked through (about 6-8 minutes). Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
  2. Reduce heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add Italian seasoning and stir to combine.
  3. Add uncooked bowtie pasta to the skillet along with chicken broth and milk. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to medium-low. Cover and cook for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is al dente and most liquid is absorbed.
  4. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet along with Parmesan cheese. Stir well to combine and let simmer for 2-3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Stir in fresh parsley and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve immediately with extra Parmesan cheese on top.

Notes

Use fresh garlic for best flavor, don't overcook the chicken, adjust sauce consistency as needed, try different pasta shapes, and this dish reheats well for meal prep.
