Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 12 oz salmon fillets, skin removed
  • 8 oz linguine or fettuccine pasta
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method

Instructions
  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water until al dente, reserving 1/2 cup pasta water before draining
  2. Season salmon with salt and pepper, then cook in olive oil over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through, then remove from skillet
  3. In the same skillet, add butter and garlic, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant, then add chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up browned bits
  4. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until melted, then add cooked pasta and toss to coat, adding reserved pasta water as needed for consistency
  5. Flake cooked salmon into large chunks and gently fold into pasta, stirring in lemon zest and fresh parsley, then serve immediately

Notes

Use fresh salmon fillets for best texture, don't overcook the salmon, freshly grate Parmesan for better melting, reserve pasta water for sauce consistency, add vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra nutrition
